FAQs

Where is Jessop Consulting Group based?

We are based in Melbourne, Australia.

What industries do you have experience with?

We have extensive experience helping out clients who work in the following industries:

Finance and Banking, Healthcare and Medical, Technology and IT, Manufacturing and Production, Retail and E-commerce, Real Estate and Property, Hospitality and Tourism, Energy and Utilities, Education and Training, Transportation and Logistics, Government departments.

Our clients range from small business owners and start-up founders, right through to executives from some of the world’s largest organisations.

Can you produce or enhance business documents at short notice?

In most cases, yes. This will of course depend on the scope of what is required and the timeframe. If you do have an urgent matter, we ask that you complete our online request form. We will endeavor to respond in less than 24 hours.

Please note that tasks/projects that require a quicker turnaround time will incur additional charges. These charges are presented upfront when we provide you with a proposal.

Couldn’t I just use Airtasker or Upwork to get help with my business documents?

Both Airtasker, Upwork, Freelancer.com, etc. are all great platforms. However, there are a number of important reasons why you should be cautious:

  1. Tasker credibility. Anyone can sign up to offer services via these platforms. There is no verification done on one’s qualifications, skills, and experience. Also, from a risk perspective, NDA’s (Non-disclosure agreements) are not mandatory, and there is no real guarantee that client confidentiality is maintained. In many instances, taskers are not located where they claim to be - for example, there are many taskers that claim that they are Australia-based, when in fact they are based overseas.

  2. Pricing & fees. With these platforms, you get what you pay for. Sure, there will be taskers that will create your business plan or presentation slides for $50, however, would you really risk having such an important document produced by someone who potentially has no real experience or skills in the request?. Also, these platforms charge unnecessary fees that serve no real value - in most cases, their admin/service fee alone is 10% to 20% of the total request cost.

  3. Limitations on communication. One major concern with these platforms is their limitation on communicating the wants and needs of a customer and the limit on what the tasker can do to convince a customer that they are the right person to do the job. One platform in particular, does not allow you to show your business name, website or links to work. Neither are you allowed to provide your phone number of personal email address so that you can have a discussion first before proceeding with a task.

  4. Fair work. From an ethical point of view, some of these platforms do not encourage a fair wage for its taskers. You could basically have a tasker from a third-world country happy to complete your task for a measly $5 - which isn’t right at all.
